Privacy Policy
I respect and protect the privacy of my clients. Information provided by my clients is solely used for the purposes of production, payment and shipping of artwork ordered by the client. I do not sell or distribute client information to any third party.
Photographs
Client photographs will be approved by me before order is confirmed. I reserve the right to refuse any commission if the photo quality is insufficient. If the client wishes to use a photograph taken by a professional photographer, the client must obtain and provide written permission from the photographer for use of copyright at time of order.
Payment
Commissions will be accepted once the non-refundable deposit is received. The remainder of payment plus shipping fees will be required once work has been completed and final approval of the artwork has been provided by the client.
Fees
Commission fees are indicated on the price list. A quote will be provided by email for special non-standard commissions and will be valid for six months from the date the quote was provided.
Production Time
Estimated completion date will be provided at time order is placed. I will do my best to complete orders by the date provided, but this should be considered a soft date of completion and not a guaranteed date. I will not be liable due to delays beyond my control.
Delivery/Damages
Portraits will be mailed by post or delivery service. The artwork will be securely packaged and will be covered against loss or damage in transit. I do not take responsibilty for damages during transit. If your portrait arrives to you damaged, please contact me immediately with details and photos documenting the damage it receieved. I will contact the the delivery service from there to determine next steps. Should your portrait be damaged beyond repair, please ship it back to me with the original packaging and I will replace the portrait at no additional cost. Production time will depend on commision list at that time.
Satisfaction Guarantee/Refund Policy
If upon receipt client is unsatisfied with their portrait, I will make appropriate changes or alterations. Client must notify me within 48 hours after receipt of portrait. Refund of payment less the nonrefundable deposit and any additional postage costs incurred by the client will be made for return of portrait. Portrait must be returned in 15 days after notifying me.
Copyright
All copyrights, including reproduction and publishing for all artwork will remain with me, Michelle Gilman. Photographs and artwork may not be copied, reproduced or published without my written consent. Client agrees that commissioned art may be used by me on my website or for promotional purposes. If for any reason the client does not want the artwork he or she commissioned to be used on the website or for promotion, he or she may send me a written request for the artwork not to be used. I will do my best to honor this request.
